Laboratory furnaces and ovens

This type of front-load furnace is ideal for daily laboratory use. They are characterized by easy to use, compact design and reliability and find application in a wide range of material processing routines, like quantitative analysis, dihydroxylation, sintering and heat treatment. They come in various sizes, temperature ranges, temperature control options and atmosphere control features.

Dryers

Dryers are designed for quick and homogenous drying, as they are equipped with rear mounted fun that enhances convective heating and drying of samples. This feature ensures temperature uniformity and high drying rates. This furnace can be manufactured in various sizes and equipped with several extra features.

Chamber furnaces

This is a general purpose furnace for a wide range of applications. Maximum furnace temperature ranges from 1200 to 1800 °C, while chamber size and geometry are custom-made. Various features can be fitted to the standard version in order to extend the furnace utilities.

Standard features:

  • Maximum working temperature 1200, 1600 and 1800 °C
  • Digital dual screen PID temperature controller
  • Molybdenum disilicide MoSi2 (for 1600 and 1800 °C models) and aluchrom heating elements for long life and consistent performance.
  • System for continuous cooling of heating elements connectors
  • Compact multilayer layout of low thermal mass and ultra-high purity alumina insulation
  • Inverter power drive (1600 and 1800 °C models)
  • Flap down or side opening door
  • Chimney for hot flue gas or smoke ventilation

Optional features:

Tube furnaces

When small samples’ heating is required, tube furnace constitutes the best choice. Thermawatt tube furnaces are reliable, exhibiting high temperature stability and large isothermal region. Heating is provided by wired resistance element arranged along the tube. Maximum working temperature can reach 1200 °C. The inner tube diameter can range from 25 mm to 110 mm and the length to 1500 mm. In other occasions the temperature can reach 1500 °C.

  • Build-in gas supply system for gas flow regulation. It includes flowmeter, flow regulator and air-trap
  • Inverter power drive
  • Mechanism for working tube rotation by 90 degrees (from horizontal to vertical position)

Multi-zone tube furnace

This is a horizontal tubular furnace with three or more heating zones, located along the heating tube which can be set independently. This set-up is essential when temperature uniformity along the heated tube is required, or when gradation of temperature along the tube is desired.

  • Maximum working temperature 1200 or 1500 °C
  • 3 heating zones of equal length
  • Digital dual screen PID temperature controllers
  • Working tube made of high purity alumina

Vacuum tube furnace

This type of single or multi-zones horizontal tube furnace is equipped with proper system for vacuum application inside the tube. For this purpose, the system comes with a build-in vacuum pump for better than 10-3 mbar with clean empty work tube, and plugs for tube sealing purposes. Standard and optional features of this model coincide with those of tube and multi-zones tube furnaces.
